Samurai Armchair

By studying hunting chairs from the mid-20th century, designers Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl have created a modern interpretation of the low hunting chair type, with a construction inspired by Japanese joint making combined with Danish wooden chairs from the 1950s. Samurai is a thoughtful piece, based on the stick chair construction popular in the 1950s, which marries different turned oak sections that support seating comfort and tectonic geometry.
The chair is beautifully complemented by a beautifully crafted round oak section that joins the back in an elegant shape that completes the iconic Samurai silhouette. Samurai is offered in saddle leather, which folds around the chair like a suit of armor and carries the body with ease. The seat is mounted with brass rivets for maximum strength, while the backrest is fitted with adjustable leather straps and brass buckles.
